CULINARY ARTS
Smoked-salmon mousse, spicy elk salad wraps, and venison on bannock are only a few examples of Aboriginal culinary art. Elk, moose, bison, deer, water mammals, water fowl, birds, fish, berries, wild rice, bannock, corn, beans, herbs and wild roots were traditional food among the Aboriginal people. While culinary art was not practiced in those times, it is today taught in schools.
